Meet the Family
Alyssa Manny | Founder CEO
Her global experience ignited her fire to explore, immerse within new cultures and, most importantly, give back. Yoga, fitness, health and wellness have become the vehicles she mobilizes to find connection, enriched meaning and self-exploration in her own life, and she encourages you to do the same with a unique combination of grace, humor and occasional profanity.
With a B.A. in Kinesiology from the University of Colorado – Boulder (2001) and over 16 years of teaching experience, Alyssa brings tremendous knowledge of anatomy and alignment to all of her classes. She simultaneously delivers a challenging physical practice with the opportunity to explore a deeper, spiritual practice. Alyssa completed her 200-hour Yoga Alliance Teacher Training Program in 2012 and various other advanced teacher training programs to earn the designation of Yoga Alliance E-RYT 200. Alyssa teaches yoga and fitness from a compassionate, supportive and light-hearted canvas in order to guide students through physical asana with a powerful connection of breath to body in order to experience the stillness of the mind.
Alyssa completed her Masters of Architecture (M-Arch) degree from the University of Colorado – Denver in 2010, which has served as a platform to design for the human experience, both on and off the mat. She has designed the studio with the intention of creating a warm, inviting, modern community space where students may connect, explore and grow. As evidenced by the juxtaposing rustic and industrial elements in combination with simplistic, clean lines, the boutique, Little Lychees Play Group room and studio space itself are abundant with opportunities for connection.
Besides her daughter, Samantha, yoga has been the greatest gift in her life and has served as a foundation for her sport of choice: skydiving. Alyssa is a Jump Master Skydiver through the United States Parachute Association with over 700 skydives to date. She believes that if yoga can teach you to quiet your mind at 13,000 feet while falling towards the earth at 150mph, it can also teach you grace, compassion and empowerment through any stressful situation.
Kelly Misuraca | Chief Brand Officer
This was not the traditional fast-paced, iron-pumping, aerobic style workout of the time, but Kelly discovered that yoga offered a new perspective, aided in her strength and flexibility and went beyond the class into the outside world to help cope with any challenges she faced.
It was not until this time that Kelly’s deep rooted passion for health and wellness was discovered after watching and learning about her family history of disease throughout her child and adulthood. She sought out how to utilize natural remedies and a health-conscious lifestyle to prevent and even cure many of these conditions. This ignited a strong desire to become educated in wellness and seek out exercise methods, both physical and mental, that would sustain her for the rest of her life and let that desire lead by example for those around her.
Kelly attended Colorado State University in Fort Collins, Colorado, and obtained a B.S. in Apparel and Merchandising and minored in Business. With ten years of buying experience for numerous high-end private golf clubs as well as large corporate yoga chains, Kelly was looking for an opportunity to curate her own boutique and have the creative freedom to bring unique and meaningful goods to the community. You can see the personal touch in every item that Ohana offers, which is carefully selected to reflect the quality in experience and sustainability that Ohana was founded upon.
Having a mother who retired from the airlines, the travel bug was in her DNA and Kelly has been fortunate to see and explore many parts of the world. Kelly’s mom is her biggest inspiration as she allowed her to discover different countries all over the world, experience culture, cuisine and the lifestyles of those that are outside these four walls. That perspective guided Kelly to feel strongly about being involved in community and the importance of family. Her wonderful upbringing full of love, self-exploration and gratitude provided empowering cornerstones that lead Kelly to yoga and wellness. Kelly’s love for yoga now has her mom practicing at the age of 67.
Kelly and her husband just welcomed their first baby girl in December 2016. Becoming a mother has been the greatest blessing and has shown how yoga can transform and heal the body and mind in order to be the best version of yourself for your family, friends and the community around you. When things get out of sorts around the Misuraca House, Kelly’s husband will strongly encourage her to go take a yoga or barre class to clear her mind – and it does!
Devon Barrow | Chief Creative Officer
RYT 200 | BA – Creative Writing
Devon obtained her 200-hour yoga teacher certification through CorePower Yoga in the summer of 2012, and has been teaching ever since.
Out of a passionate desire to take yoga into untraditional places, Devon founded OmniYoga Project in August 2015, a company that focuses on corporate yoga and Workplace Wellness, as well as other on-site yoga opportunities. In March 2016 she moved to Tel Aviv, Israel: an adventure that lent her much insight on the broad and accepting nature of yoga. Experiencing yoga around the world has been an eye-opening experience for Devon’s teaching style, which continues to value both creativity of the physical body and the power of mindfulness. Devon now teaches in Denver, her hometown, where she is gratefully a part of the Ohana Yoga + Barre community.
She assists students in becoming more courageous and balanced, not only physically, but emotionally and spiritually as well. Alina’s classes are melodic, inspiring and accessible. She thinks that when one can come into a space where they think less and feel more that clarity in intention and movement is amplified not only on the mat but in everyday life.
Alina grew up in Colorado where the mountains continue to be her playground. For her, there is so much inspiration to be drawn from the rhythms of nature. She is a forever student, not only of yoga but of life. There is a constant ebb and flow between the peaks and valleys in life and the journey between the two are what make this human experience inspiring and worthwhile. Alina has found yoga empowers us to live with more gratitude, joy and ease and ultimately is an essential tool for being more fully present in both life's challenging and enjoyable moments.
Recently, Amber discovered a way to share her joy of fitness, dance, barre and teaching by obtaining her Barre Fitness instructor certification. As a student of Barre for over 4-years, she
finds appreciation in an exercise format geared towards aligned, controlled, and intense movement.

Caitlin lived in downtown San Diego for several years where she met her now husband, Daniel, before deciding to lay roots in Colorado.
After moving in to the neighborhood in Berkeley, Caitlin fell in love with the intensity and alignment of Barre classes. It took her four years of being a student to realize that she was meant to be a teacher as well, and thus became certified to teach through The Dailey Method – Denver’s intensive teacher training program. Caitlin’s passion as an instructor is rooted in inspiring individuals to make healthy decisions, both in and out of the studio. She teaches from a place of thoughtful alignment and safety, creating space for any individual to join regardless of injury, prenatal | postpartum mommas or brand new to the platform.
Caitlin and Daniel live near Ohana with their toddler son, Nash, and their second child (a little girl this time!) due in early September, 2017.

She learned how to swim when she was 3 years old and continued to swim competitively and play water polo through high school. She also participated on numerous softball, basketball, soccer, and lacrosse teams.
Taking a break from athletics, she attended Columbus College of Art and Design with a focus in Interior Design. Shortly after college, she fell in love with yoga and got more involved with group fitness. She always knew that she wanted to inspire people with fitness, but it wasn’t until she moved to Denver and became certified to teach Barre and Lagree method that she found her true passion.
Callie brings high energy, intensity and motivation to each and every class she teaches. You can expect to work, you can expect to shake and, most importantly, you can expect to have fun.
RYT 200 | Certified Barre Instructor
Yoga brought to light the idea that the movement of energy is essential in order to experience the richness of life and to access the true spirit that lies within us. Through years of practice and the completion of 200+ hours of training, she has discovered that yoga is something that can be practiced in every movement and each breath.
With this in mind, she completed her barre certification early this year to broaden her practice and teachings alike. She draws from both modalities when teaching and with a focus on alignment and breath, she encourages her students to explore all layers of themselves- from the physical sheath to the more subtle aspects of energy and spirit. Her classes are both challenging and supportive, offering a balance between freedom to move and time for stillness and contemplation.

Little did she know that this decision would change not only her career path, but also her life.
After many years of practice, Emilie now believes that yoga is more than just a set of exercises paired with pop beat music and hip spandex pants; to Emilie, yoga is a philosophy of good living. In 2012 Emilie made the leap of faith and enrolled in her first yoga teacher training program through CorePower Yoga. After successfully completing her training she immediately started teaching full time. By 2014 Emilie had acquired her E-RYT 200 designation and has since lead (5) 200-hour Yoga Teacher Training Programs as well as multiple continuing education programs. When she’s not at the yoga studio, the best place to look for her is in the high peaks of Colorado pursuing her other passions of ski mountaineering and downhill mountain biking, where she is constantly pushing her boundaries, redefining her limits, and practicing her good life philosophy. Emilie’s classes are thoughtfully designed and intended to help her students break down their preconceived notions on what it possible in their own yoga practices, but most importantly within their own lives.

She also believes that the mental component, specifically the mind-body connection, should be strengthened in every session. Heather absolutely loves teaching fitness as it makes her soul sing and her inner fire ignite. She believes that everyone should be so lucky to feel such a level of passion in what they do. Heather loves to share her passion by creating fun, welcoming, and “ass-kicking” classes.
Outside of teaching or personal training, she is happiest when her own body is in motion from barre, weight lifting and her yoga practice as well as playing with her eight year old son. Being still is a definite challenge for her. When not working out, you will find her sipping on some red wine, listening to Spotify and hanging out with her wonderful husband and crazy, fun, cuddly son.

She couldn’t see the instructor and had no idea what a “down dog” was. After that she decided, “maybe this isn’t my thing.” Years later she tried again at a heated Vinyasa studio.
Whoa! What a difference quality instruction and heat can make! She’s been hooked ever since.

Touching another person’s life through teaching has been the greatest gift she could ever imagine. Introducing fitness and wellness to her native Denver community over the last 6 years has been transformative each and every day.
Jen is so very thankful to have found her life’s work after years of suffering with her identity decomposing while she made millions for others and finally realizing that there was more to life, more to her, than the all mighty dollar. Teaching found Jen at a time when she was the most polluted, and slowly began to uncover the joyous person that had been buried for decades.
A healthy mind, body and spirit has allowed Jen to experience life so differently. The crazy journey of life is only as challenging as oyur perspective. Have you ever met someone that had a terrible tragedy in their life, but posseses the most exuberant outlook on life?!?! They all have one thing in common…a untarnished perspective that life is not just good, but great.
Jen’s goal in every teaching opportunity is to provide students with an uplifting experience. Perhaps today it is just a smile because she likes to drop old school hip hop jams and dance around like a child (eek) or give you an extra exuberant hoot of encouragement when you are trying to hold a pose for five more breaths. Or maybe something deeper, something more attached to your every action and reaction that keeps you from this healthy view that life really is THIS GREAT. Sometimes a good sweat, a good intention is all you need to shed the layer of masking we add to cover up something profound from within….patience, kindness, empathy, or maybe acceptance for all the quirkiness that makes you fan-fn-tastic.
Walking out of a class should transform you in some way… get you out of your head so you can focus, relax your tension from life, motivate you to SURRENDER to the simplest task of folding a mountain of laundry stacking up or the grandest opportunity like letting go of self-doubt and really change your life so you can live a happier and healthier life! Best lyrics to sums up a mama Jen class: “No limits, Just epiphanies”.
Jen’s motto is simple: Think LOVE, Speak, LOVE, Feel LOVE. She can’t wait to share some of this light with you!

Lindsay completed her 200 hour CorePower certification in the fall of 2009 and has completed Advanced Teacher Training with Ana Forrest as well as workshops with Darren Main, Steve Ross, and Richard Freeman.
Daily, she enjoys the incredible sunshine of Colorado and balancing a mix of consulting, designing, traveling, and making new concoctions in her Vitamix! Yoga is an adventure. Every day that we can make it to our mats to explore, we gain more clarity, more strength, and more patience. Fueled by a restless creativity, Lindsay’s classes are unique, ever-evolving, and occasionally twisted. Her intention in yoga and design is to create spaces that connect and energize people!
Marysia feels that her responsibility is to magnify and balance each student’s unique talents. Although we cannot always control what we are given, we can choose how we deal. By carefully observing students as individuals (even in group classes), Marysia customizes your practice specifically for each person. Marysia firmly believes in her students and their ability to achieve their goals both on and off the yoga mat. The key is understanding a person’s limitations and strengths and learning how to appropriately leverage those abilities to maximize their potential.
Marysia teaches students how to exercise productive thinking with the same diligence that they exercise within their bodies. In addition to asana advancement, Marysia focuses on injury rehabilitation and prevention. She believes that it is not what we do, but the energy we bring to what we do that creates the experience. As a licensed acupuncturist and herbalist who has treated a number of yoga-related injuries, she is meticulous when it comes to alignment. Postures do not cause injury, inefficient technique does.
Marysia’s classes, whilst pragmatic and grounding, are uplifting and energizing. With a strong foundation and a lot of core work, students gain access to postures they’ve dreamed of, but may never have thought possible.
